Endometriosis is a medical condition

Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus. It can cause inflammation, scarring, and pain. Symptoms and their severity vary widely.

Possible signs are broader than period pain

Painful periods, chronic pelvic or lower-back pain, pain during or after sex, painful bowel movements or urination around menstruation, heavy bleeding, and fertility difficulties can occur. None is specific enough to diagnose the condition alone.

A structured diary can help

Record pain location, timing, bowel or bladder symptoms, bleeding, medicines, and disruption to daily activities. Delays in diagnosis are common, so clear longitudinal information can strengthen the clinical conversation.
