Measure the pattern in practical terms

It is hard to estimate blood volume directly. More useful notes include how often products are changed, leaking through protection, large clots, bleeding duration, nighttime changes, and activity limits.

Heavy bleeding can affect overall health

Ongoing blood loss may contribute to iron-deficiency anemia, which can cause fatigue, weakness, dizziness, or shortness of breath. Hormonal changes, fibroids, bleeding disorders, medications, and other conditions may be involved.

Know the urgent signs

Seek urgent care for very rapid soaking accompanied by weakness, fainting, severe pain, trouble breathing, or possible pregnancy. Otherwise, schedule care for bleeding that is repeatedly heavy, prolonged, between periods, or after menopause.
