Schedule a routine evaluation

Talk with a clinician about repeated cycles outside your usual range, periods that stop without an expected reason, bleeding between periods, bleeding after sex, pain that disrupts daily activities, or symptoms that concern you.

Seek prompt or urgent advice

Very heavy bleeding, worsening pelvic pain, fever, pregnancy with pain or bleeding, new symptoms after a procedure, or possible infection should be assessed promptly. Your local nurse line can help determine the right level of care.

Emergency symptoms need emergency care

Call emergency services for fainting, severe weakness, trouble breathing, chest pain, sudden severe pain, confusion, or uncontrolled bleeding. An app cannot triage an emergency.
